Liuchen’s parents Song Zhongmin (43 years old) and Wang Xiaying (39 years old) said that as soon as the baby was born, the doctor informed them to prepare the funeral for the child soon. Liuchen then cried continuously for 12 hours due to the pain because patches of her skin always peeled off when someone touched her.
Doctors said Liuchen had a disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The disease makes my skin extremely fragile and can peel off at any time.
Despite being taken to many different hospitals, even applying folk remedies for treatment, 8 years later Liuchen’s condition has not improved. His mother, Ms. Wang, said: “I have to change the bed sheets for him every morning because they are always covered with patches of skin, blood and fluid from the wound that oozes throughout the night. ” Currently, Liuchen’s condition is so serious that she can’t eat rice anymore.
The poor boy’s family shared, when the medicine “surrendered” to his illness, they only knew how to try to take care of their son, always being patient, gentle and caring. “We had to find a way to make Liuchen’s life more comfortable, despite knowing that he always had to endure persistent pain, whether he was awake or asleep,” his father said .
Most importantly, despite having to live in such hardship and fatigue, young Liuchen has always been one of the best students at the top of his class for many years.
