1. Strange city 1 out of 10 pregnant people have twins

Linha São Pedro, a small settlement in the city of Cádido Godoi in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and close to the Argentine border, is famous for having many twins. Between 1990 and 1994 alone, 10% of births in São Pedro were twins (while the percentage of twins in the whole of Brazil was less than 1%).
Many theories have been put forward to explain this rare phenomenon, one of which is the story of Josef Mengele, a doctor known as “the messenger of death”. This doctor is accused of being responsible for 400,000 deaths caused by sick medical experiments. Among the victims of this doctor, there are many who are twins. Another report also indicates that, among the twins here, there are many pairs with blonde hair and blue eyes.
2. The school has 24 pairs of twins in grade 5

24 pairs of fifth grade twins from Highcrest Middle School in Wilmette, Illinois.

Highcrest Middle School in Wilmette, Illinois, USA is famous for having the most twins in the same grade. Currently, the school has 24 pairs of twins enrolled in grade 5. Among the twins, 11 are girls, 10 are one boy and one girl, and only 3 are male twins.
Almost half of twins are female twins


The school is hoping to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for the number of twins in the same grade, well ahead of the current record of 16 at three other schools.


3. The neighborhood has 12 twins
12 sets of twins of all ages living in the same neighborhood

Street 68A, Havana, Cuba was originally an ordinary neighborhood, but it became famous when twins were born here. Up to now, in this neighborhood, there have been 12 pairs of twins living, these twins range in age from infants to seniors. 
The special thing is that 10 of the twins are identical twins. Furthermore, none of the twin families are closely related. The neighborhood currently has 70 households with about 224 people living in, accounting for one in 19 people, this number is much higher than the average.

The Oostelike Eagles rugby team in the city of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa stunned their opponents when there were 5 pairs of twins in the team. The twin members of the team range in age from 7 to 9. Out of these 5 twins, there are 2 identical pairs, 2 fraternal pairs and a male and female pair. Even this is annoying for the whole team when the team members themselves cannot distinguish who is who while playing football. Even the trainer has to admit, he himself is often confused between identical twins.
